I’ve been using Linux as my main OS on all my machines ever since before the pandemic and I’ve managed to resolve most of the issues or the community may have created solutions to do things I could easily do on Windows such as gaming (i.e. Wine). Now though, since Netflix has earned some points to me with One Piece and Yuyu Hakusho’s tagalog dub being quite decent, I decided to reactivate my subscription. Imagine to my horror when the resolutions used by videos were limited to 720p. I tested on all browsers and they were all limited to it. Upon googling, it seems that, on Linux, that is the limit due to DRM and such nonsense. Right then and there I almost decided to just go back to the high seas but it’s a good thing that the community has already created a solution for it. I just had to dig a bit deeper to find it. 🧐 The power of open source! ⚡️⚡️⚡️
